About BHU PET 2021

BHU PET (Banaras Hindu University Postgraduate Entrance Test) is a postgraduate entrance exam conducted every year by the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) to grant admission to the students in different PG courses offered by the University itself and its constituents schools.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is a known university situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It aims to organize a university level entrance test for selecting eligible candidates for postgraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level programs. To gain admission into the UG and PG programs, UET and PET are conducted by the university, and admission into the doctoral-level programs is offered through RET. Aspiring students are required to show their scores in CAT to acquire an entry into the MBA Program.

BHU PET Important Dates 2021 Exam

Given below are the exam dates for PET and UET for various sessions of the BHU exam.

BHU PET Exam Registration Process 2021

All the candidates who want to participate in the exam must need to apply for the exam by filling the application form through the official website of the BHU PET. It is an online process that involves some of the following steps:

Step 1: Registration

  1. Visit the official website of BHU– Click Here
  2. Now click on the tab that shows Apply for Admission and then click on online application under UET this will redirect you to the registration page.
  3. On this page, you can see a Registered Yourself tab (if you are a new user) and a Sign In tab (if you already registered) choose according to your application status.
  4. Now if you are a new candidate then click on the button of Registered Yourself, which will redirect you to the registration page.
  5. Complete the process for registration by state the details, including your email ID and mobile number, etc., and get the login credentials like your Username and Password.
  6. Note down this number for the remaining application process.

Step 2: Fill BHU PET online application form 2021

  1. Re-login using this Application Number and password by following the above mentioned steps from 1 to 3 written in the registration process.
  2. Fill in all the details such as parent’s name, Aadhar Card Number, gender, category, address, etc., and also the course you want to apply for.

Step 3: Upload Documents

  1. Upload the scanned photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm & 100KB in jpg/jpeg format).
  2. Upload the scanned signature (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm & 100KB in jpg/jpeg format).

Step 4: Fee Payment

  1. After clicking Save & Next, the fee payment page will be redirected.
  2. Choose payment mode (Canara Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm Payment Gateway through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI/Wallet).

BHU PET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Before beginning to fill the application for the BHU PET 2021, it is advised that the candidates should go through the following eligibility criteria to avoid the rejection or cancellation of the application form. The following information is related to the Eligibility Criteria for the BHU PET 2021.

Basic Eligibility of BHUT PET are as follows:

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelors's degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution.
  • Relaxation of 5% is given to the reserved categories SC/ST – 45%.

Acharya Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have passed Shastri (Hons.)/Shastri under at least 10+2+3 pattern, in the concerned subject in relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution or university.

Master of Arts (MA) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have completed graduation or equivalent in relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board or institution.

Master of Science (M.Sc) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have passed B.Sc./B.Sc.(Engg.) in relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution or university.

MSc Agriculture MSc (Agri.) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have completed a B.Sc. Agri. or Graduate Degree equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board or institution.

Masters of Performing Arts (MPA) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have completed a B.Mus/BPA or Graduate Degree equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board or institution.
  • Candidates also have Vocal Music/Instrumental Music/Dance (Kathak/Bharatnatyam) as one of the subjects in any of the above courses
  • Candidates who have a 3-year Diploma in Vocal Music/Instrumental Music/Dance (Kathak/Bharatnatyam) Examination of BHU or equivalent can also apply for the course.

Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution.

Masters of Library and Information Science (M.Li.I.Sc.) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have completed B.Li.I.Sc. or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board or institution.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have passed BCA or relevant Bachelors Degree or graduation level examination with Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution

Masters of Technology (M.Tech) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized institute or university.
  • GATE score cardholders are also eligible

Masters of Vocation (M.Voc) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have passed a Bachelors's Degree or equivalent graduation level examination in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution.

Masters of Legislative Laws (LLM) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have passed LL.B or BA-LL.B with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution or university.

Masters of Commerce (M.Com) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have completed B.Com or equivalent with 50% marks from a recognized university or institution.

Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidates must have completed BFA or equivalent with at least 50% marks from a recognized university or institution.

Masters of Education (M.Ed) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidate must have completed B.Ed with a minimum of 50% marks for other university students.

Masters of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • Candidate must have completed B.P.Ed with a minimum of 50% marks for other university students.

Master of Agricultural Business Management (MABM)

  • Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent with at least 50% marks from a recognized university or institution.
